Prof. Lai previously served as Chair Professor of Management Science at the City University of Hong Kong Business School, Senior Operations Analyst at Cathay Pacific Airways, and Regional Manager at Union Carbide Corporation. His research interests include supply chain and operations management, financial engineering, business intelligence and optimization, and investment decision-making. He is the founder and Secretary-General of the Hong Kong Operations Research Society, President of the Asia Association of Risk and Crisis Management, and former Dean (part-time) at the Business School of Hunan University.
Daniel Wolfgang Guido Gruszynski

Dr. Daniel Gruszynski (DBA, University of Newcastle, Australia; MBA, Western Sydney University) relocated from Germany to Hong Kong in 1996. In 2002, after nearly 25 years as an international executive at Siemens, he established his own management consulting companies in Hong Kong and Singapore. At Siemens, he was responsible for strategy implementation, financial control, human resource management, and other corporate management areas. He has served as consultant to numerous companies across the Asia-Pacific region and has been invited by universities worldwide to lecture on strategic management, international HRM, and business research design. Over the past decade, he has also supervised dissertations in international HRM and strategy.

He currently serves as Honorary Professor and Honorary Senior Lecturer at the School of Management and Enterprise, University of Southern Queensland, Australia. He has published seven editions of textbooks on organizational behavior and co-authored books on organizational behavior and human resource management. His research focuses on how institutions develop strategic capabilities through leadership, organizational change and innovation, performance management, organizational learning, and leadership.
